TEMIC have just recorded an album, but to get to this point, this supergroup had to navigate through quite a career labyrinth. The guys have already played with Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress, Neal Morse, SHINING, and Maraton. But it was only when the world came to a standstill in 2020 that keyboardist Diego Tejedia and guitarist Eric Gillette came together to form a band.
Their idea was not easy: to orchestrate their preference for high-energy electronica and killer melodies in a modern prog-metal band. But with the addition of vocalist Fredrik Klemp and drummer Simen Sandnes, Temic managed to realize this concept. 'Terror Management Theory' is full of twists and surprises. 'Count Your Losses' crushes tons of tech riffs, while 'Falling Away' drifts into a black hole of starry synths. At the end of this labyrinthine album is 'Mothalah,' a seven-minute epic that, led by a heroic falsetto, never stops reaching for the sky.
