Released for the first time on 12" vinyl with gold hot foil stamping
Resonance marks arguably the most prestigious moment in VNV Nation’s career. After years of planning, this album features many of VNV Nation’s most popular tracks performed exclusively by orchestra and voice. Other studio instruments were not used, as the aim was to create a work that was as authentic as possible.
VNV Nation have long been familiar with classical music and have often found inspiration for their own songs in it – with “Resonance”, a long-awaited dream has now become reality.
The album was recorded with the world-famous Babelsberg Film Orchestra in their historic rooms in Potsdam – just a stone’s throw from the stage where legendary films like Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” were made.
Only the best studios were considered in the recording, mixing and mastering of this album. The results speak for themselves and can definitely be described as majestic. This album is a soundtrack for a film that has yet to be created.
