Sick and tired of trendy music? Pissed off? Disappointed by SLAYER’s too modern new albums? No worries! Help is in sight in the shape of DEMIRICOUS, who are rewriting thrash history from where Araya, King & Co. left off in 1990 with "Seasons In The Abyss". This outfit pays tribute to the old school with its traditional, raw, no-holds-barred take on thrash. Taking no prisoners, the band fires riff after riff of pure aggression, with a phenomenal production courtesy of Zeuss, who has already provided bands like HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL and THE RED CHORD with a powerful, razor-sharp sound.

Formed in 2001, this Indianapolis four-piece has shared stages with the likes of EXODUS, MALEVOLENT CREATION, KING DIAMOND, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and OBITUARY, even before its first major release. In 2005 a self-produced EP caught the attention of Metal Blade Records, who have largely proved their talent for discovering hopeful newcomers in the past. DEMIRICOUS’ debut "One" continues this tradition, grabbing the increasingly trend-conscious metal scene firmly by the balls.

"No fuckin hair dos, ex-girlfriends, or lame shit… just good fuckin times and raging metal," the band states. "Style-wise and riff-wise we call our brand of music ‘Street Metal’. It has to do with tough rippin’ ass riffs and pummeling drums and having nothing to do with whatever is cool."

Once you hear this album you will probably be caught off guard seeing most younger bands coming out nowadays are not paying homage to old school thrash, and you will definitely walk away thinking you haven’t heard a record like this a long time. (Source: Metal Blade Records)
