The Who viert de 40e verjaardag van "Quadrophenia" met deze superluxe uitgave van "Quadrophenia - Live in London". De luxe box bevat de High Definition Blu-ray en een standaard DVD met de concertfilm, beide met 5.1 Surround Sound, een soundtrack van de show op dubbel-CD en voor de eerste keer een 5.1 Surround Sound-mix van het complete originele album uit 1973 op een Blu-ray audio-disc. Ook zit er een grote sticker bij met de look van een Mod-light, een Mod-light pin en een boek met 32 pagina's met teksten en afbeeldingen. De 10" metalen box is gevormd als het bekende, door de film geΓ―nspireerde Mod-logo, afkomstig van de koplamp van een Vespa SG scooter.

In 2012/2013 was The Who op hun grote "Quadrophenia and More"-tour en speelden de leden ter viering van de 40e verjaardag van het fantastische dubbelalbum uit 1973 een volledig legendarische en baanbrekende Rock-opera, live op het podium! De afronding van de veelgeprezen tour vond plaats op 8 juli (2013) in de Wembley Arena in Londen en werd opgenomen voor het nageslacht.
